Good Morning Monday!

I made a mistake when posting last Friday Night with an update. I didn't log in and everything I wrote was lost. I should have copied it first. Oh, well.

So today we start week two. It looks like week one was a huge success. Congratulations all! Let's get another 5 days in.

Go Girls!

  1. Well girls, you have sucked me in. I have read your blog all week and at the beginning thought "that is great, but I can't possibly work out five days a week". I work 3pm to 3am as a nurse 4 days a week and I feel like all I do is sleep the other 3 days, recuperating from work. But all of you have way more on you plates than just a job with stinky hours, and are so inspiring and motivating that I have to join in.

So I'm in, better late than never right? I did a pilates video on Saturday, yesterday Matt and I walked the dog. Since he pulled his hamstring, all the "sprints" (10-15 seconds of being yanked along by a 55lb dog that sees a bird, napkin or stick up ahead that she MUST HAVE NOW) to the park were up to me.

This morning I was really going to get up and go to a class at 24hr fitness (I have a membership that hasn't been used in almost a year), I even had a back-up class in case I couldn't get up for the first one (lame, I know), but I snoozed through BOTH. I am really lazy getting out of bed on my days off, especially when my abs are aching from pilates. When I did roll out of bed I let Scout out and pulled on my running skirt (which at this point is a big misnomer and probably fits a bit inappropriately - but cute work-out clothes are a big motivator for me) and went jogging through the neighborhood for 30 minutes. Granted there was way more walking than jogging, and nothing that could be called running, but I was moving. That's what it is all about right?

So thanks for getting me moving, I can't wait to hear about everyone's progress this week!

  2. Korey and I walked the dogs on Saturday at Grandma Judy's house. Tonight I'm going to a step aerobics class. Yuck! But I meet a coworker so that's motivation to go. And the fact that I made these oatmeal chocolate bars for Ms. Corey to try while at Grandma Judy's so I have to work those off too. And the pancakes and bacon we ate!

  3. Lexi and I came home today and walked for 30 min. Lexi needed to walk off that pound cake and I needed to walk off those yummy chocolate bars that kSk made this weekend :) Hope you all had productive days!

  4. Instead of exercising, I consumed a bajillion calories from the sweets I was making for Maggie's school tomorrow. Tomorrow will be better:(

  5. Yikes! I barely got it in, but I did. It has been a busy day and I think it will be a busy week for sure. I have too much on my plate. Without this group there is no way I would have stuck in a walking DVD at 9:33pm tonight. It was one of the last things I wanted to do. Now that it is done, I feel much better. I can go to sleep with that crossed off my list.

I talked to Hip Papasito on the phone and he said that Hip Mamasita walked home from school again, even though she is feeling under the weather. Nice job! I think I speak for everyone when I say...hope you feel better soon.

Mama Chick--no worries. This isn't a counting calories club. It's an exercising 5 days a week club. You still have 6 days left. I know you will squeeze them in. BTW wish I was at your house today eating all those sweats :)

  7. I did get moving Sunday. I tried the Level 2 workout on my video... umm when your husband leaves the room saying that is NUTS! It is CRAZY HARD!! I actually thought I was going to get sick. This video is kicking my tooshie. Nothing today. We are supposed to try running in the morning with the kids in the jogger. I will let you know how that goes. Keep it up girls! You are inspiring!
