Fresh Start

I feel like many of us just need a Fresh Start. Life is busy, kids are sick, bodies are falling apart, but we need to refocus. Time will keep going. Soon it will be May and time to put on swimsuits, Then it will be the end of summer and time for school to start again. Then the Holidays begin. The cycle continues.

Now is not the time to wait for tomorrow or next week. Now is the time to put yourself and your health first! Sometimes our minds tell us that the best thing is to sit down and watch some TV or you fill in the blank. But don't listen to that voice before you get up and move! That voice deceives us. It robs us of what we can be. We must fight to quiet that awful voice. Just remember that anything worth having is worth fighting for. Be strong Girls! You are worth it! Now let's tear up the next three weeks of April!!!!

And this post is as much for me as it is for you. We all struggle.

  1. I am all about a fresh start. This week has been really hard as I am in the middle of working 9 out of 10 days (Tuesday to next Thursday), partially because of staffing issues at work and partially my own doing to pay off summer vacation. Anyways, needless to say I'm tired and I haven't worked out since Wednesday when I took the dog for a walk. Monday is my new leaf for April and I'm ready to do it with you girls.

I seem to remember a post a few back about Hot Mama setting a new goal for April. Any decision yet about that? I myself have a new long-term goal that I am contemplating. It is big and kinda scary and I haven't talked about it to anyone except Matt, but then again part of me wants to tell as many people as possible so I will have to do it. How about I'll tell you mine if you tell us yours?

  2. I'm up for April being a fresh start. I have been working out the past week. I actually have worked out today. I need some motivation as I have been asked to model at my sorority's founders day luncheon. This is so out of my comfort zone. My first thought was No, No, No, and No again, then I thought can you loose 20 lbs in 3 weeks. Then I got rational and thought all I really need to do is keep working out and slow down on my sweet tooth.

My 1st request though was a glass of wine before going on the ramp, then I looked at the invitation and it's at 10:30 in the morning, oh well, I'm up for a mimosa to settle my nerves.
