It is so great to restart this month. I can feel the excitement through my computer! Last month felt like we were all dying off by the end.
I had fun reading through yesterday's comments. I hadn't noticed that the two that did all four weeks have the most kids until it was pointed out. So if Mama Chick and I can get it done with our 4 kiddos apiece, you can too! I believe you can! And BTW Mama Chick you rock with your intervals!
Frosty had two successful weeks, if you didn't read the comments yesterday. Way to go! Can't wait to see what you do this month.
Hip Mamasita is feeling better after struggling with an awful cold last month. She has walked home two days in a row from work. Awesome job!
kSk--what a cute drink. They must be copying us ;) And three days would be so regular. We don't want to be regular--We're the Go Girls!
This is Fun!!! Keep telling us what you did and where you are!

Got up and did an hour at the gym, 15 minutes on the treadmill, two sets of upper body weights, 15 minutes on the elliptical. I want to pull out wii Fit for some stretches but little one is up and he just wants to sit on the balance board:)
ReplyDeleteI have an incredible pain in what I think is my hip joint/middle of the buttocks area. Anyone know what that might be? I don't think it's sciatica because it's not running down my leg.
I did a F.I.T. class at the gym. The description was very vague, but I figured, fit, fitness, probably some cardio and weights, I could try and hang. It kicked my butt. and my abs, and my arms etc etc etc. We used all the fancy accessories (bouncy ball, steps, weights, weighted bar, resistance bands and the bosu - like a half bouncy ball that you stand on) that I have always wanted to used but didn't know how. Yeah, the reason no one uses them is because they are HARD. I fell off the ball. Twice. Which was made even worse because there were only 4 people in the class. I hope I can walk tomorrow. Or lift my head up.
ReplyDeleteMama Chick - my non-medical advice/questions - does it feel like a muscle? We have muscles deep in our buttocks that are rarely used but I found mine a couple of weeks ago, painfully. You can tell if it feels like it is stretching when you stick your behind out to the back and then towards the side of the pain. If it gets better after you warm up and get moving it is probably just sore/tight from use. If it gets worse or last more than a couple days you might want to get it looked at, although the Dr will probably say stay off it for a few days/week to see if that helps.
I had REALLY fallen off the wagon! Lots of, yuck I am so blah... maybe I am just going to ea a cookie. Not at all moving in the "Go Girl!" spirit. So, we signed up for the Houston Rodeo Run 10k race... and we did it!!! I was expecting to finish in about 1hr 20min, but I finished in 1hr 4min. It felt good. So that was Saturday and I got out to the park yesterday for 3 miles. It really is amazing how much better I feel when I am up and moving. Keep up all the great work Ladies... or should I say, "Go GIRLS!"
ReplyDeleteFeels wonderful to have my work out done! Now when the kids go to bed I pick up the house, fold my 3 loads of laundry, and fix whatever they break between now and then. I'm sure they will break or destroy something. Gotta love boys! Although, I'm sure there are some rowdy girls out there too.
ReplyDeleteNow I need to go cut the bottom out of a plastic planter that my kids have rigged up as a hoop for 21. Just thinking about the next four hours feels like a work out. Too bad I said one day can't count as two if you do more than 30min. Of course my normal daily routine isn't giving me my 20 year old body! Enough ramble, back to life.
